ATHENA Young Professional Award CRITERIA

An ATHENA Young Professional Award nominee:

● Is an emerging leader who demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in her/his business or profession;
● Serves as a role model for young women personally and professionally;
● Is 40 years old or younger, and has a minimum of five (5) years professional experience;
● Provides valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in the community.

Past recipients include:

2013 - Dana Brookes, Florida State University
2012 - Kristin Calder, Bethesda Hospital Foundation
2011 - Brandy Upright Truex, Upright Marketing Solutions

ATHENA Organizational Award CRITERIA

An ATHENA Organizational Award nominee:

● Is a business or organization that creates an organizational culture that encourages women employees to achieve their full leadership potential
● Gives back to the larger community of women and girls by providing and/ or supporting leadership development opportunities and initiatives

Past recipients include:
2014 - Lewis, Longman & Walker P.A.
2013 - Jupiter Medical Center
2012 - Kruesler-Walsh, Compiani & Vargas, P.A.
2011 - Christine D. Hanley & Associates, P.A.
2010 - The City of West Palm Beach

ATHENA NOMINATION

ATHENA Individual Award, ATHENA Young Professional Award and
ATHENA Organizational Award Nomination and Selection Process
 

● Individuals submitted for nomination will be asked to complete a Nominee Application should they wish to be considered for a 2015 ATHENA , ATHENA Young Professional Award or ATHENA Organizational Award. Applications will be distributed on July 31, 2015.

● Nominee Applications submitted by the deadline will be reviewed by a Selection Committee made up of community leaders. Committee members will score applications using a point system to measure an individual’s responses against the Award criteria and the ATHENA Leadership Model.

● Finalists for each award will be selected, and will be recognized during the ATHENA Award Luncheon and in various Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches communications. The ATHENA Award, ATHENA Young Professional Award and ATHENA Organizational Award recipients will be chosen from this group of finalists.

● ATHENA Nominees must be available on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, September 29, 2015
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
ATHENA Nominee Reception 

Friday, October 9, 2015
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
ATHENA Award Luncheon
